In Age of Towers, you find yourself in possession of a valuable mine brimming with precious energy crystals. Unfortunately, it’s not just crystals you’ve stumbled upon; a horde of monstrous creatures has also set their sights on this rich prize. To make matters worse, three rival cities have discovered the mine’s existence and are racing to claim its rewards. With no choice but to defend what’s rightfully yours, you must construct powerful magic towers, lay cunning traps, and guide the marauding beasts towards your opponents’ cities.
Day, Dawn, and Night
The game is played over three phases: night, dawn, and day. During the night, the event card is revealed, and the monsters advance along their designated paths with varying movement values. More monsters, or even your boss, join the fray. As dawn breaks, your towers come alive, launching devastating attacks on specific types of monsters or the fearsome boss. Finally, during the day, you have the freedom to choose from four available actions, each providing a unique advantage to secure victory.
Facing Unique Challenges
Each monster possesses a distinct movement value and special abilities. The boss, in particular, presents a formidable challenge with its tenacious 10 life points. Successfully slaying the boss signals the end of the game, and the player who achieved this heroic feat emerges victorious. However, be wary of monsters or the boss breaching your defenses and reaching your city, as they deplete your city guards and diminish your victory points.
